Seven clear steps

From your address to a clear roof condition report.

The technology removes guesswork from the beginning. The onsite inspection provides the actual condition findings. Here is exactly how the two parts fit together.

01

Enter the property address

Address autocomplete reduces typing errors. You confirm the property before continuing.

02

Review the satellite estimate

Where data is available, see imagery and estimated roof area. Imagery date, obstruction, and roof geometry can affect the estimate.

03

Answer a few property questions

Confirm one or two stories, identify the closest roof material, and tell us the reason for the inspection.

04

Review price and scope

See the preliminary price before entering contact information. Read what is included and excluded.

05

Request the appointment

The production flow will show the cancellation policy, $49 reservation deposit, and available appointment times before payment.

06

Onsite inspection

A qualified professional reviews visible, safely accessible exterior roof areas and captures organized condition photos.

07

Receive the report

The digital report identifies observations, supporting photos, limitations, and practical next steps.

Satellite estimate

Useful for size and preparation.

  • Helps identify the property and roof outline
  • May estimate roof area, pitch, and geometry
  • Supports preliminary price selection
  • May be affected by imagery date, trees, shadows, or complex geometry
  • Does not diagnose roof condition or leaks

Onsite inspection

Required for condition findings.

  • Reviews visible, safely accessible roof conditions
  • Captures property-specific photographs
  • Documents wear, damage, limitations, and concerns
  • Separates observation from recommendation
  • Does not guarantee concealed conditions are absent

Common questions

Straight answers before you book.

How accurate are satellite roof measurements?

They are estimates based on available imagery and provider data. Trees, roof geometry, image age, and coverage can affect the result. GenRoof does not use satellite imagery as a substitute for the onsite condition inspection.

What if the satellite cannot see my roof clearly?

The property is routed for manual review. The scope and price should be confirmed before live payment.

Will someone walk on the roof?

The inspector determines whether direct roof access is safe based on conditions at the property. Some areas may be observed by another safe method or documented as inaccessible.

Does the inspection involve destructive testing?

No. The standard roof condition inspection is visual and non-destructive. Concealed conditions are not guaranteed.

Will I receive repair or replacement pricing?

Not as part of the condition report. A separate repair or replacement proposal may be requested after the inspection and is optional.

How is my address information used?

The address is used to identify the property, request available mapping and roof information, price the service, and prepare the inspection. See the privacy policy for details.
